I found Bay Frames through Yelp! and boy was I glad with my decision to come here. It was a little tough to find, but I would recommend using the map available on their website as that led me straight to the shop after a couple of failed GPS attempts.
Anyway, although my job was relatively straightforward, I truly appreciated having a professional be able to recommend the frame type and matting (color and all). Even though I didn’t need anything too crazy, I could see the very large selection available so I’m sure if you’re looking for something hard to find, this is probably the place to go. It really gives you peace of mind to know that some bubble-gum-snapping teenager (sorry if you are one) is not doing the framing job you are paying good money for. They were polite, professional, and I was very happy with the final product. I would definitely recommend Bay Frames…you won’t be disappointed.

In the midst of a bathroom remodel, I decided I wanted two custom framed mirrors. Unfortunately, wherever I went, either the prices were outrageous or the minimum-wage making, pimply-faced high school student behind the counter couldn’t answer any of my questions. Finally, my mother joined me in this seemingly impossible quest. After some time, she called to tell me that even though it was a bit far from San Jose, this place called Bay Frames had great reviews, and a Yelp discount to boot. We decided to check it out the following weekend, and I’m so very glad we did!
Why do I love Bay Frames? Let me count the ways…
1. Their selection of frames is massive! If you can’t find a frame you like here, they will keep looking for you, and if they can’t find it, it probably doesn’t exist.
2. They are competitively priced. After visiting at least half a dozen framing stores, I found this one to be the most reasonable.
3. The customer service was the best I’ve received in recent (and not-so-recent) history. The first frame I chose was put on back order by the manufacturer for a month, then two months, then indefinitely. Throughout the duration of this process, Mario kept ordering in more samples he thought I might like, and Liz was diligent in keeping me updated on the status of my order, as well as what my options were. When I finally decided to opt for a slightly more expensive frame, instead, I was told I could have them for the same price as my original selection because of the long wait. I was floored; it wasn’t even their fault! Everyone was so graceful in dealing with an otherwise hairy situation, and because of that I would, and have, recommended Bay Frames to friends, family, colleagues, friendly strangers walking down the street, and just about anyone else who will listen.
4. Mostly importantly, the finished product was easy to hang, and looks simply marvelous!

Thank you very much for Mario’s suggestion about the frame for my prints. I told him I was more accustomed to wood. I showed him the prints and he suggested a metal frame. Although I was initially skeptical –he was right. Indeed, my two prints look fabulous in the frames selected by Mario. In fact, you should know that he spent more than fifteen minutes patiently showing me other options.

Helped me out for Xmas at the last minute!!
I got the “brainy” idea that I would have a beautiful picture, that I purchased online, custom framed for a Xmas present for my best friends…about 1 week before Xmas. Well…most places (after they stopped laughing…not really) said that they could not do it until the New Year. Bay Frames came to my rescue and got the job done. I would and will go back to them. And…they are nice people, too!!
